Laura l. English, esq.
Laura graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Memphis and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Laura has been practicing since 2009, and in 2023 took the exciting and humbling step of founding The English Law Firm.
Laura focuses her practice on child welfare in all aspects of domestic relations. When she is not in the courtroom, Laura promotes education and experience in the field of law by serving as a mentor to new attorneys and offers internships at the undergraduate and law school levels, which allows aspiring attorneys to participate in the daily experience of practicing law.
Laura is licensed in Tennessee and Arkansas and is a Rule 31 listed mediator.

kathryn mobley, Paralegal
Born and raised in Georgia, Kate Mobley followed her passion for helping people to Memphis, Tennessee in 2001. Kate earned a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University Memphis, building on her Bachelor of Science degree from North Georgia College and State University. Kate spent her early career working within the Shelby County Government in multiple departments including child support, protective services at Juvenile Court, the District Attorney's office, and the Rape Crisis Center. Her experience with each court and branch of government led her to pursue a new career as a paralegal which incorporated all her acquired skills and knowledge.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Denisse uses her skills and calming personality to connect with clients as their first point-of-contact at the Firm. As a Memphis native, Denisse closely identifies with everyone in the community, no matter their background. Denisse earned her Associate's degree in Business Administration from Southwest Community College and is a Notary Public for Shelby County, Tennessee. Denisse is passionate about helping underserved demographics discover legal resources to fulfill their needs.

From humble beginnings of being lost in a Memphis snowstorm, Lady Ginsburg was rescued and found a home with The English Law Firm, PLLC. "Ginny," as she's affectionately known in the office, clawed her way up from the ho-hum life of an ordinary house cat to a dignified career as a Cattorney At Claw. Ginny loves to Meowdiate and advocate for kittens who are in need of representation. Ginny spends most of her time relaxing on the couch as she waits for her cases to be called for Zoom hearings. Ginny enjoys head scratches and often works for payment in tuna.
